Bozeman, Montana 2012

Riding some pow at Targhee

Back by popular demand!! Combine these 2 shots and I got one hell of a pic. Me and Damon drove to Targhee last month and rode pow for three days. We got first(ish) tracks down Mary’s Nip. Best snow I’ve ever been on.

plenty of pow slashes went down on this trip

Beat to hell!! You gotta beat the vultures when riding Targhee

Basking in some glory

Me and Leo talked this guy into building us a top secret jump line deep in the bogus basin backcountry.

Chewelah in November 2011

Saturday (11/20) when I first arrived. There was about 10 inches of snow that dumped the night before

I’m currently in Chewelah for Thanksgiving break. Its pretty awesome considering the amount of snow, but since Jaeger and Brotha J are out of town, I have nobody to ride with… and now its raining.

Headed to 49 for some pow slashes the Sunday after opening day.

Chewelah's constantly changing, always exciting downtown area.. sike!!

Day 1 on my new board. It happened on my first run down chair 4. Really good snow until I hit this rock or stump

The guys at the rental shop let me use this while they gave me a base weld. "Its the Cadillac of snowboards"-Bubba.

More snow overnight (11/21). And my parents put in a down bar apparently

Gap to creeper ledge that needs to be done.

Angle #2

It snowed another 14 inches or so at 49 last night. Ridiculous for this time of year

Ed and Bubba (rental shop) are the most legit fools around. Thanks again for saving my board!

Good as new.

Some random guy came in the shop with his home-made double swallow tail. Cut out of an old Santa Cruz with a jig saw

Oreo is now 18 years old.

Mini ramp might need a little repair

Its supposed to start snowing again by the end of this week, so it should be good when I get back for Christmas break this December! I’m looking forward to riding some street spots and stackin some clipz. Gotta get D-wrek and the Boise crew out here!!!

it begins!!!

Here’s the first edit of the season so far. These homies put in work to get this zone built and it shows! We had just barely enough snow to make it work, but it did, and it was awesome. Lots more potential left when we get more snow. If your thinking of riding without consent, mind the intro.

Fall 2011

Here’s some more leftover footage from last season. Featuring: Oscar Sundell, Jaeger Bailey, Aj Ogden, Cameron Huffman, Scott Wasden, Corey Schneider, Ian Sullivan.

GHOSTLAND IS NOW OUT! FEAST YOUR EYES

summer 2011

Ghostland is coming out the end of September!! The premier is going to be all ages at the Neurolex, so if your in Boise, you better go. Heres some footage that D-Wreck wasnt going to use, so I made an edit.

My cousins (and friends) in Bozeman, Montana are killing it.

June

Scott and I went to Bogus a few times last week after we found one of the last good patches of snow on the mountain. We ended up having a really good time. Peep the edit.

The last few shots are from an awesome zone less than 2 hours outside Boise. Were going back this weekend so if you want to get involved, do it! There will be snow up there thru August.

Me and my cousins went to Colorado and rode A Basin for a day. It was a blast. Peep the edit.

I’m going to be making my own summer edits here as soon as possible so keep updated for that. Snowbank still has a ton so I’m headed out there very soon.

Reed at the PBRJ finals. I forgot to post this awhile ago.

Just throwin it out there.. Edit from a few seasons ago at my home mountain (49 Degrees North) during spring break.

End of the 2011 season

Wall ride at Bogus

The day the world almost ended (May 21st).

That weight would flatten you

Found an old rail in the snow

Plenty of slide-able objects around

There should be snow up there til July

Scott got a one footed backflip

CDI 2011. Its still snowing in McCall.

I was finally able to make it to the backcountry!! Evan let me tag along on his sled up to an awesome spot. Definitely saving my money for a sled this summer.

It still felt like winter at that elevation. I stumbled on this edit on the Bataleon blog a few weeks ago. These dudes kill it.

Thanks again to Evan and Greg

Down at the event; Joe had an interesting/hazardous quarter pipe set up

CDI 2011

I suffered only minor injuries to a great weekend

Check out the Ghostland pow teaser!!

Jaeger sent out his video part from this season to a few major websites and got some awesome feedback/exposure. He definitely deserves it. Good work!! Watch out for this kid at HCSC this summer.

Jaeger at the Holy Oly

Stalefish at 49 Degrees North

Still plenty of snow, just got to work for it.

Its going down here in just under two weeks.

Car wreck on the way down from Arrow rock. If that was at any other turn on that road, they would be dead.

Evan Williams. Not the whiskey, the person. Bogus water tower wall ride

Though the season might be over, there is still snow around. Ill have to make some summer trips to Mt Hood, but Snowbank is going to have decent snow til August. Ill be heading up there as  much as I can this summer and hopefully making my own edits soon too. I plan to get a new camera this summer so I can improve my photos for next season and get creative with short edits. Ghostland is coming out in August so keep an eye out for that!!

Ghetto things at Bogus

Shadow from hell!!

We tried this approach for speed first. it didnt work

We dug at this wallride for a solid 4 hours, then gave up when we couldnt get the right speed or angle. Went back the next day for a new approach. It worked really well. Pictures coming soon.

Scott about to drop

stomped it

We came back the next day and a ton of snow melted. The junkyard is done.

Our berm melted

Phil put a fat lip on it

We cut through the trees and cleared an in run. It worked really well.

The next day (Sunday 05/14) at Brundage. Pow day baby

A buried trail map

Me and Candace were some of the only people up there. It was raining earlier so everyone pussy'd out.

Sometimes its better to arrive at noon.

Twas a snowy one

This guy is awesome. the definition of stoked

Wet and wild. The snow was so fun! very unique conditions

The conditions are still really good at Brundage. We were lucky to catch the last chairs for the season.

Super sketchy landing

Scott mid front flip

Then we had a session on a flat bar. it slides really well

I didnt notice when it happened, but it sucks. Now I am board less. Hopefully not for long

Theres still spots to do at Bogus and were going to get them this weekend.

On May 28th, CDI is going down!! This is the best snowboard event in Southern Idaho for sure. You will be there if you know whats good for you.

Back home, Chewelah is flooding. It was on the news so you know its bad! Houses in town now have moats. Oh and the world is supposed to end on Saturday. Pics will come soon..

Tommy and Jaeger melted all the snow with their firey hammers. Check it out!!

Early May

I went snowboarding with Tom and had an awesome time. tail grabbin'

Oscar and I made a visit to the junk yard.

They plowed it.

Oscar's tail grab

We spent last weekend riding at Brundage. Pow and cliffs on Saturday, slush and park on Sunday.

Tom and his friends showed me their tree set up at Bogus.

Derek came out and filmed it.

Phil is back!! Stackin some serious hammers

end of the season blues

I am no good at being injured; its a huge drag. I dislocated my shoulder pretty bad at Brundage last weekend on some sketchy picnic table set up and Ive been bumming on the thought of it ending my season.. I’m not ready for it to end. I still want more footage!!  There’s a lot of spots we haven’t gotten to yet which I’ll seriously regret if we don’t.

As you probably know, Mystery District is going to have the first official video out in September; Ghostland. It should be a pretty damn decent zero budget film. We (Derek, Kit, AJ, Pat, and I) put a lot of time and money into this project; travelling and exploring various locations, using shovels to modify whatever we come across into ride-able spots. I’ve really enjoyed it. No matter what the outcome of this video, it was totally worth it. No day of lapping a shitty Idaho terrain park can compare to building your own spot and finding a way to make it work, at least in my opinion.

This season has definitely been the best one I’ve had yet and I’ve decided I cant end it with some weak ass injury. I still want more quality footage, sooo I’m going to make a trip to Montana and see what I can get done with my cousins, and maybe Jaeger. If I can track him down.

Here’s some videos from the last couple seasons. Check em out! Entertaining to say the least. Hopefully you can notice some improvement in Ghostland

AJ put together a website for Mystery District using his skills and advanced computer knowledge. Check it!

http://mysterydistrict.tumblr.com/

Soo the season aint over yet. Hopefully be out snowboarding again this weekend or sooner. If you want to shred and your too lazy to hike around, go to the access road!!
